The Vietnam War (called the “American War” in Vietnam) lasted from 1965 – 1975. Starting in 1964, the Gulf of Tonkin incident escalated U.S. military involvement. In 1965, the U.S. send first troops to Vietnam: On March 8, 1965, 3,800 U.S. Marines landed at Da Nang in South Vietnam to support the ARVN Troops. The Paris Peace Accords of January 27, 1973 led to U.S withdrawal; on March, 29, 1973 the last GI left South Vietnam. For the U.S. Vietnam War was over, but it still raged on until 1975: The Fall of Saigon in 1975 marks the end of the Vietnam War with the reunification of Vietnam under communist rule. The Vietnam War was a complex conflict involving multiple parties, notable for its impact on both Vietnam and international relations. About the Books
Based on historical facts, the books enable tabletop gamer to replay famous battles in the Pacific and South East Asia in WWII and to refight battles in the Vietnam War.
The Pacific books cover the period 1941 – 1945 for playing Allied/US and Japanese tabletop armies, the famous settings are e. g. Tarawa, Guadalcanal, Burma, the Philippines, the East Indies, Solomon Islands and New Guinea, Iwo Jima etc.
The Vietnam War book covers the period 1965 – 1975. You can choose from various lists and historical briefings for appropriate company sized battles for any size of tabletop miniatures from 1/100 to 1/72 or 28mm. In the books we included all you need to set up your armies for this specific Pacific theatre or in the Vietnam War.
You can configure your company with a typical HQ, Combat and Weapons Platoons and of course some support units. You find all this in full overview on the company diagrams, with special rules and point values. As a basic ruleset you may use the Core Rulebook for the Pacific and South East Asia and/or the Core Rulebook for the Vietnam War.
